Hand washing dishes can use more energy and hot water than running a full dishwasher. To save water, I will scrape instead of rinsing dishes before loading them into the dishwasher, and only run it when it is full.

    Happy Monday, Team! The prizes for the EcoChallenge were delivered to my office last week, and now they are just waiting for YOU to win them!

    Here's another one of the cool prizes the LiveGreen Ambassadors have lined up for participation in the EcoChallenge! If you score within the top 50th percent of points among the UNMC/NM team, you'll be entered into the drawing for a set of these swanky reusable cutlery sets. You can keep them in your purse, bag, car, office, or wherever so you won't need to grab plastic sets as often. Keep logging your points (and inviting your colleagues!) to be entered into drawings for bigger and better prizes!
