REFLECTION QUESTIONAt WorkWhile one's plastic cutlery is a seemingly very small part of someone's "plastic impact", why do you think it's important for us to address this opportunity to reduce?
Madeline Campbell 4/16/2025 2:06 PMI think this is a good example of small things adding up to make a big impact, especially considering catered lunches on campus! While the utensils are smaller than the styrofoam containers the food comes in, if we consider the number of catered lunches across campus each day, the utensils do add up! It is also easier to bring reusables or simply hold onto the food than to find a way to avoid the styrofoam. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAt HomeHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
Madeline Campbell 4/10/2025 2:40 PMCreativity to me has been necessary for simplicity in that to avoid waste, I have opted to make things from scratch. For example, I get far more hummus if I make it myself rather than buying a small plastic container of it, especially when I already have most of the ingredients on hand most of the time anyway!-

Madeline Campbell 4/04/2025 6:53 AMCongrats, MCW team, on finishing our first few days of the One Healthcare Ecochallenge! We have made some great progress so far, both in contributing to some healthy habits and also to scoring points in a friendly competition with our peer institutions. If you have any sustainability victories over the next few weeks, please consider posting them in our team feed as inspiration. Thank you all for participating in this challenge with us in support of Earth Month!-
