Christian's actions
At Home
Adjust the Thermostat
I will adjust my thermostat down 2 degrees from usual when I use the heat, and up 2 degrees when I use air conditioning.
At Home
Indoor Air Quality
I will spend 120 minutes learning about how indoor air quality impacts health and commit to taking one action to improve indoor air quality in my living space.
At Home
Garden - The Cycle of Life
Prepare Garden - outline garden edges so not to mulch them down when mowing the lawn. Mulch the grown with soil and fresh compost, check PH levels for change. Install Garden lights. Build above ground planters to make life easier. Look to recycle rain water for bird bath and garden. Plant new seeds and one more try at blue berries.
At Home
Repair an Item
I will repair an item, such as clothing or an appliance, for myself, a friend, family member, or neighbor.
At Home
Compost Food Waste
I will avoid sending food waste to the landfill by composting my food scraps.
At Home
Brush My Teeth Without Water Running
I will save up to 4 gallons (15 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.
At Home
Switch to Cold Water
I will switch to washing my clothes in cold water, saving up to 1,600 lbs of CO2 over the course of the next year.

Candice Miller (NVH) 4/16/2025 7:45 PMThanks so much for sharing these tips, Chris. If only, I could get the birds to share my blueberry yield with me. 😂 -

If your placing them directly to your plants , the calcium needs to be blended up and poured in as a liquid. Calcium takes up to 2 years to break down. Do this step for your ROSES and Blueberries. -
Candice Miller (NVH) 4/15/2025 7:36 PMYes, they are, Chris! Are you adding them into a home compost pile or directly to the soil around your plants?
