I will keep 10 forks, spoons, and/or knives from entering the landfill by using reusable utensils when eating at work.

Drive Less

I will cut my car trip mileage by only taking necessary trips, or walking and biking instead.

COMPLETED 1
DAILY ACTION

In Our Communities

Support Local Wildlife

I will take one action to support local wildlife, such as adding a food or water source, creating shelter/habitat, preventing light pollution, eliminating bird strikes, or another action.

No one person can do everything, but we can all do something. Making one person's worth of difference matters! Share an impact you made related to an Ecochallenge action that you are proud of in the feed.

COMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

At Home

Repair an Item

I will repair an item, such as clothing or an appliance, for myself, a friend, family member, or neighbor.

COMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

At Home

Adjust the Thermostat

I will adjust my thermostat down 2 degrees from usual when I use the heat, and up 2 degrees when I use air conditioning.

At Home

Compost Food Waste

I will avoid sending food waste to the landfill by composting my food scraps.

Dishwasher Efficiency

Hand washing dishes can use more energy and hot water than running a full dishwasher. To save water, I will scrape instead of rinsing dishes before loading them into the dishwasher, and only run it when it is full.

Exercise Daily

Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 25 minute(s) each day.

COMPLETED 3
DAILY ACTIONS

Health & Well-being

Healthy Hydration

I will improve hydration by drinking an additional 60oz of water each day. I will do this by drinking additional servings of water or by drinking water in place of other less healthy beverage options.

COMPLETED 6

Less Screen Time

I will replace 15 minute(s) of screen time per day with other activities, and limit my social media use to once per day.

taking the T and walking to work when i lived downtown gave me great perspective on that fastest is not always the best. Walking gave such calm enjoyable outdoor time, even when spontaneously rained haha
