Thank you for your post! There are some apps out there can help with this research and with what is in the products themselves. We use an app called YUKI that tells how natural a product is. There are other ones out there as well. Thank you for you post! -

At Home
Repair an Item
I will repair an item, such as clothing or an appliance, for myself, a friend, family member, or neighbor.
At Home
Dishwasher Efficiency
Hand washing dishes can use more energy and hot water than running a full dishwasher. To save water, I will scrape instead of rinsing dishes before loading them into the dishwasher, and only run it when it is full.
At Home
Brush My Teeth Without Water Running
I will save up to 4 gallons (15 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.
At Home
Learn the Truth about Expiration Dates
I will spend at least 30 minutes learning how to differentiate between sell by, use by, and best by dates.
At Home
Practice the 5 r's
I will Practice the "5 Rs" — refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle — to reduce my waste more than I can with just recycling alone.
At Work
Greener Purchasing
I will select a greener option when purchasing supplies, such as products that have environmental certifications, less packaging, or other environmental attributes, or come from local vendors.
One Healthcare
Explore the Feed
I will read the Ecochallenge feed each day and comment on posts by people who I don't know, but whose content inspires or interests me.
At Work
Quality Improvement
I commit to dedicating 120 minutes to exploring my organization's quality improvement resources and examining how quality improvement methodologies can support sustainability projects.
One Healthcare
Find My Climate Action
How can you personally help address climate change? Complete the climate action venn diagram at ayanaelizabeth.com/climatevenn and share your climate action in the feed.
One Healthcare
One Healthcare Ecochallenge Survey
Your voice matters! Help us improve the One Healthcare Ecochallenge by taking our survey, available starting April 23rd.
At Work
Greenwashing
I will spend 60 minutes learning about greenwashing and how to avoid it.
At Work
Stay Connected
I will schedule coffee breaks, lunches, and/or check-in meetings with 5 coworkers to promote connectivity in my workplace.
One Healthcare
Environmental Footprint of Healthcare
I will spend 60 minutes learning about the environmental footprint of the healthcare industry, how it impacts health, and ways I can help reduce it.
One Healthcare
Donate Blood
I will donate blood in my community to make sure there are adequate supplies for routine medical services and emergencies.
Health & Well-being
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Health & Well-being
Creative Expression
I will reflect on how I am feeling and express myself through writing, art, music, physical activity, or another creative way to enhance well-being
Health & Well-being
Do Nature Activities
I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my friends or family, for 60 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)
Health & Well-being
Go Get a Check Up
I will make 3 appointments to support my health and well-being (primary care provider, dental, vision, etc.)
Health & Well-being
Gratitude
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for every day.
At Home
Choose LED Bulbs
I will replace 4 incandescent lightbulb(s) with Energy Star-certified LED bulbs, saving up to $14 per fixture per year.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAt WorkHow do you avoid greenwashing? What are additional steps you can take?
Nadelle DeVries 4/11/2025 3:22 PMResearch. Research. Research and ask why? Why are these products Green/Sustainable/Eco Friendly? Who actually owns these brands, let alone sustainable brands. We have to ask more difficult questions and look at labeling. Not all green washing is malicious. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAt WorkWhat are some of the benefits you've noticed from connecting with colleagues at work?
Nadelle DeVries 4/11/2025 3:10 PMIt is rather a small community and small facility here on Friday Harbor, what I've learned while slowly coming out of winter and revisiting or establishing new friendships is the ability to have deeper conversations but also care more about mental/emotional help at work.
Reaching out to individuals, doing check ups, also creating a closer working relationship.-

Thank you for your post! It is so important to have more than just a surface level relationship with others, as it can make work more enjoyable and less of a burden or necessity.
