  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Home
Do you compost at home through a pick-up service? Any companies you'd recommend?

We don’t compost at home yet, but we’re definitely interested in getting started! I’d love to hear if anyone has a pick-up service they love—it seems like such a great way to cut down on waste.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Work
What have you found to be the biggest pros and cons of working from home?

    Bridget DiPhilippo's avatar
    Bridget DiPhilippo 4/24/2025 12:55 PM
    • Energy Saver 💡
The biggest pro of working from home is having a flexible routine (and wearing comfy clothes!); the con is missing those spontaneous hallway office chats and connections that make the day more fun.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Well-being
How do you practice self care? Why is it important?

    Bridget DiPhilippo's avatar
    Bridget DiPhilippo 4/24/2025 12:53 PM
    • Energy Saver 💡
I practice my self care by going to spin class and spending time outside—it helps me clear my head and feel grounded. Taking care of myself keeps me energized and ready to show up fully for others!

That's so important. Way to go. It's hard finding time to do things important like that for yourself. But as you pointed out, it really helps in showing up fully for others. :)

Earth Day yesterday was a powerful reminder of the impact our daily choices have on the planet! Participating in the EcoChallenge has me reflecting on how small, consistent actions can lead to meaningful change. 🌍💚
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Well-being
What did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?

    Bridget DiPhilippo's avatar
    Bridget DiPhilippo 4/23/2025 6:06 AM
    • Energy Saver 💡
I noticed I had way more time than I thought! At first, it was hard not to default to my phone, but I started going for walks, reading, or just catching up with people instead. It felt surprisingly good.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Home
Do you live in an area that is water secure or with water scarcity? What other actions do you take to use water more efficiently?

    Bridget DiPhilippo's avatar
    Bridget DiPhilippo 4/23/2025 6:05 AM
    • Energy Saver 💡
I live in Portland - which is generally water secure (I believe). Still, I try to use water efficiently by taking quick showers, running full loads of laundry, and not letting the tap run while brushing my teeth.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Home
Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

    Bridget DiPhilippo's avatar
    Bridget DiPhilippo 4/09/2025 10:38 AM
    • Energy Saver 💡
Things like pollution, overuse, and dumping waste harm water systems, but I try to help by reducing plastic use, picking up litter, and being mindful of what goes down the drain.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health & Well-being
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Bridget DiPhilippo's avatar
    Bridget DiPhilippo 4/09/2025 10:36 AM
    • Energy Saver 💡
My husband and I use working out together as quality time—whether we’re walking the dog somewhere nice or going to the gym side by side. It’s a great way to stay active while also connecting with each other and enjoying the outdoors.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    One Healthcare
How did performing random acts of kindness make you feel? Were you surprised by any of the responses you received from recipients?

    Bridget DiPhilippo's avatar
    Bridget DiPhilippo 4/02/2025 12:36 PM
    • Energy Saver 💡
I love that just a small act could brighten someone's day. Something as simple as holding the door open for a person with an arm full of bags and paying a person a compliment can make a difference. This is a great reminder that kindness doesn’t take much effort!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    One Healthcare
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

    Bridget DiPhilippo's avatar
    Bridget DiPhilippo 4/02/2025 12:31 PM
    • Energy Saver 💡
Sometimes it's just convenience—grabbing a bottled water is easier than remembering to bring a reusable one. Also, tap water taste or access can be a barrier. To make it a habit, I’m going to keep a reusable bottle in both my bag and car at all times and if needed, I could get a good filter!
