Tracey's actions
In Our Communities
Support Diverse and Locally-Owned Businesses
I will promote equity and support my community by purchasing items at 4 diverse- and/or locally-owned businesses.
In Our Communities
Donate Items
I will help others in need and prevent useful items from going to landfill by donating 12 items.
At Home
Shorter Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
At Home
Practice the 5 r's
I will Practice the "5 Rs" — refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle — to reduce my waste more than I can with just recycling alone.
Health & Well-being
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 180 minute(s) each day.
At Home
Adjust the Thermostat
I will adjust my thermostat down 2 degrees from usual when I use the heat, and up 2 degrees when I use air conditioning.
In Our Communities
Use Reusable Bags
I will refuse 18 of single-use paper or plastic bags each day by bringing my own reusable bags or carrying purchased goods another way.
At Home
Needs Vs. Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
Health & Well-being
Creative Expression
I will reflect on how I am feeling and express myself through writing, art, music, physical activity, or another creative way to enhance well-being
In Our Communities
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 2 piece(s) of litter each day.
Health & Well-being
Do Nature Activities
I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my friends or family, for 180 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)
At Home
Brush My Teeth Without Water Running
I will save up to 4 gallons (15 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Tracey Goral 4/24/2025 3:04 AMI love this Health Challenge - I have been doing the above challenges for quite awhile so these Challenges are easy for me.....Although donating clothes is the hardest! Each day I sort thru and grab one item and hoping by the end of this Eco Challenge I can donate a bag or two.-
Wendy Long 4/24/2025 5:25 AM- Tech Enthusiast 💻
I'm still moving stuff to boxes. Somehow, I have trouble getting the boxes into my car and actually going to the donation site. A job planned for this weekend. -
Tanya Knudtson 4/24/2025 4:35 AM- Foodie 🍱
I just went through and donated a bunch of shoes that have been sitting in my closet for over a decade. Feels good to purge!
