Needs Vs. Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.

Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Health & Well-being
Gratitude
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for every day.
Health & Well-being
Go Get a Check Up
I will make 2 appointments to support my health and well-being (primary care provider, dental, vision, etc.)
Health & Well-being
Healthy Hydration
I will improve hydration by drinking an additional 32oz of water each day. I will do this by drinking additional servings of water or by drinking water in place of other less healthy beverage options.
Health & Well-being

I will spend 10 minute(s) learning about constructive communication.
At Work
Stay Connected
I will schedule coffee breaks, lunches, and/or check-in meetings with 5 coworkers to promote connectivity in my workplace.

In Our Communities
Plant Trees
I will plant 140 tree(s) in my community, public parks, or backyard. Check out resources for which tree species are best to plant in your area.
In Our Communities
Support Pollution Reduction
I will spend at least 15 minutes learning about water and air quality issues in my area, how they are impacting human and environmental health, and how I can help.
One Healthcare
Climate Change Impacts on Health
I will spend 15 minutes learning about the ways climate change impacts health.

Angelena Hampton 4/15/2024 6:05 AMEvery year my county's soil and water conservation group offers spring tree sales. This year I added 140 white pines, colorado blue spruce and norway spruce to my little oasis right smack in the middle of a corn / bean field. Every little bit helps. When I see eagles, red tailed hawks, coyotes, songbirds, hummingbirds, possums, raccoons, snakes, owls, deer enjoying this safe spot it feels like a worthy way to spend a weekend. This month's healthcare ecochallenge has really helped me prioritize and see the value of small, intentional things that help the planet. I've also found it personally helps me center and feel more a collaborative partner to the planet and ecosystem that sustains me.
