Sarah's actions
Health & Well-being
Gratitude
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for every day.
At Home
Dishwasher Efficiency
Hand washing dishes can use more energy and hot water than running a full dishwasher. To save water, I will scrape instead of rinsing dishes before loading them into the dishwasher, and only run it when it is full.
At Work
Last to Leave? Lights Out, Please!
Lighting makes up approximately 10% of hospitals' energy use on average. I will save energy by turning off unnecessary lights when not in use and when I am the last one to leave a space.
At Work
Prevent Recycling Contamination
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will spend 15 minutes learning about which items are recyclable both at my workplace and at home since they may be different, and recycle only those items.
Health & Well-being
Less Screen Time
I will replace 60 minute(s) of screen time per day with other activities, and limit my social media use to once per day.
In Our Communities
Volunteer in My Community
I will volunteer 2 hour(s) in my community during the challenge.
One Healthcare
Random Act of Kindness
I will promote a positive environment and uplift others by performing 1 random act(s) of kindness.
One Healthcare
One Healthcare Ecochallenge Survey
Your voice matters! Help us improve the One Healthcare Ecochallenge by taking our survey, available starting April 23rd.
At Home
Switch to Cold Water
I will switch to washing my clothes in cold water, saving up to 1,600 lbs of CO2 over the course of the next year.
At Work
Turn It Off
I will turn my computer monitor(s) off at my work station when not in use to save energy (I will follow my organization's IT instructions for keeping on, turning off, or restarting computers).

Sarah Harper 4/30/2025 6:42 AMBiggest challenge was remembering to checkin on the dashboard on a daily/weekly basis. I appreciated the reminders. I think I set too many goals for myself, but in the end, I made forward progress! :)-

I actually got a reminder from the challenge to maybe slow my roll and select fewer actions. 😂 I figured I didn't have to complete them ALL each day, I was just giving myself a buffet of actions to choose from. No regrets!
