Joseph Kerschner 4/30/2025 12:30 PMMy Why is that the Planet is in need of individuals to care for Her future. It doesn't matter how you vote, where you live, where you worship, where you work, or how you play. I believe that everyone can have a vested interest in taking care of our Planet, even if it is in small ways. Creating sensible things such as provided by this Challenge makes sense for all people and all communities. -
Joseph Kerschner 4/30/2025 12:27 PMThis EcoChallenge is always fantastic - 2 years now, I have learned and changed in ways that have made a difference and will continue into the future. -

Joseph Kerschner 4/23/2025 7:05 AMLife moves quickly. You can get bogged down with the day-to-day. Taking time for gratitude and celebration allows pause to appreciate the journey and success and helps to increase joy! I like to celebrate with music and meals. REFLECTION QUESTIONIn Our CommunitiesDid procuring local ingredients impact the way you think about food or the meals you decided to prepare? If so, how?

REFLECTION QUESTIONOne HealthcareDid you learn anything that surprised you about the environmental impact of operating rooms? What are some barriers to greening ORs, and how can departments work together to help overcome these barriers?
Joseph Kerschner 4/23/2025 6:51 AMI understood many of the things. However, publishing research on this is critical and we convened a meeting this month to move forward a project examining the life cycle of a common ear, nose, and throat procedure hoping this work will inform and inspire others on this topic. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIn Our CommunitiesWhat environmental factors affect human health in your region, and how do they affect it?
Joseph Kerschner 4/23/2025 6:50 AMWarming temperatures impact children with asthma and sickle cell disease. Often, these are patients with less access to health care resources as well making things even more problematic. -
