Hi, I have yet to go to the Tare Market, but it is on my list to do. Has anyone been here, and do they have any suggestions?-
John Krenz (Allina) 4/18/2025 12:00 PMBring your own containers and bags. When purchasing bulk items, they charge by weight and will subtract your container weight. It's best to work with them before shopping to ensure your containers get weighed.

Another great way to reuse textiles is to send them to SUAY https://suayla.com. They are based in Los Angeles and are a production and sewing shop that makes garments and household items mainly from repurposed textiles. According to their website, they have diverted over 3.5 Millison pounds of textiles from landfills.-

Suzanne Hansen 4/15/2025 7:59 AMIn Mpls and St Paul, a new company, Ridwell, picks up hard to recycle things every 2 weeks. They take textiles, among other things. I joined a few months ago. There is a fee, but I can leave things in a box on my porch: https://www.ridwell.com/join/twin-cities -

Yesterday I watched the documentary "Buy Now" on Netflix. It was very eye opening about how we over consume. It also touched base on green washing. Green washing is a new term I had learned this year in the Eco Challenge. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAt HomeWhat was the most interesting fact you learned about indoor air quality? Why is maintaining good indoor air quality so important?
Nicole Leonardson 4/01/2025 6:37 AMI learned that dry cleaning can be a source of volatile organic compounds impacting air quality. It is crazy that something that is supposed to be clean, can contribute to this. -
