Picking up litter within our community is part of our responsibility as members of the communities where we work and live. The most common item that I found were wrappers that had been discarded.

Down the road from our house we have an eagle's nest and we consider this eagle family part of our neighborhood. The eagles are a daily reminder to me that we are just a piece of this world and that every piece in important.

This month has been refreshing and educational for myself and my family. We are collectively aware of the little changes that we make in our daily lives, that the changes add up and makes a difference. I am looking forward to continuing the habits we have formed going forward.

I use a reusable water bottle daily and my kids have gotten into the same habit. Of course they are mostly in it for the fun colors, but the impact adds up and the habits formed will likely last!

I agree that most of us have too many reusable water bottles too - I wonder what this accumulation will do long term?
