    Volunteering feels great! One thing I can do is encourage more people to volunteer especially the younger people in my life.

    I tried some different approaches to my mindfulness/meditation practicies. I incorporated soundscapes into my practice as well as different lighting in the room. Both changes improved my practice and practice has been easier over time.

    The biggest pro for me for working from home is the quiet environment is great when working on documents or data. The biggest con is being distracted by other things that need to be done at my house.

    My sister and I enjoy taking walks together with my niece and nephew. We have talked about exploring different hiking trail systems in the area this summer.

    What did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?

    It was hard to reduce my screen time during this challenge. I have realized that I developed a bad relationship with my phone over the last couple of years. Other things I have done with my time include cooking more, redoing somethings in my house that needed my attention, and working on my volunteer activities.

    Reducing my screen time today gave me more time to cook and bake. This allowed me to reduce food waste by using items that were near the end of their usable time frame.

    Discovering new features of my CALM app has allowed me to incorporate more mindfulness into my daily routine and find new mindfulness practices that work for me.

      The CALM app is an app that focuses mindfulness and mental health. It has a variety of activities that include different meditation sessions, movement sessions, things to help you with your sleep, music, soundscapes, and more. You can try it for free and subscribe if you like it.

    Recycling a few items a day has gotten me into the spring-cleaning mode. It has also made me think about what I really need.
