There are always shortages of blood and platelets. It's just a matter of scheduling the time to do it.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    In Our Communities Donate Items
Why is it important to consider how and to whom you donate your no-longer-needed items?

I always donate to a neighborhood shop owned by the south suburban crisis center which provides aid to women and families affected by domestic violence. I don't want to donate to an organization that might be overwhelmed by donations and might possibly throw them away,
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What is one thing that you are grateful for today? How does practicing gratitude make you feel?

I am grateful for my good health. Practicing gratitude helps me focus on what I do have, not on what I do not have.
