You'll be an One Healthcare Ecochallenge 2025 expert in no time!
"You are the plant, you are nature; you are life. Let's save the earth and us!"
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will spend 20 minutes learning about which items are recyclable both at my workplace and at home since they may be different, and recycle only those items.
I will volunteer 3 hour(s) in my community during the challenge.
I will spend at least 60 minutes learning about water and air quality issues in my area, how they are impacting human and environmental health, and how I can help.
I will reflect on how I am feeling and express myself through writing, art, music, physical activity, or another creative way to enhance well-being
I will commit to getting 120 more minute(s) of sleep each night to achieve at least 7 hours per night.
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for every day.
I will spend 60 minutes learning about some of the ways my organization makes its operating rooms more sustainable and ways we can improve.
I will spend 60 minutes learning about greenwashing and how to avoid it.
I will read the Ecochallenge feed each day and comment on posts by people who I don't know, but whose content inspires or interests me.
I will donate blood in my community to make sure there are adequate supplies for routine medical services and emergencies.
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
I will spend 60 minutes learning about how indoor air quality impacts health and commit to taking one action to improve indoor air quality in my living space.
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
I will spend at least 60 minutes learning how to differentiate between sell by, use by, and best by dates.
I will Practice the "5 Rs" — refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle — to reduce my waste more than I can with just recycling alone.
I will eat a heart healthy diet by adding 1 cup(s) of fruits and vegetables each day to achieve at least 4 cups per day.
I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my friends or family, for 30 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)
I will improve hydration by drinking an additional 8oz of water each day. I will do this by drinking additional servings of water or by drinking water in place of other less healthy beverage options.
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
