Dishwasher Efficiency

At Work
Last to Leave? Lights Out, Please!
Lighting makes up approximately 10% of hospitals' energy use on average. I will save energy by turning off unnecessary lights when not in use and when I am the last one to leave a space.
Health & Well-being
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAt WorkHow could you encourage your coworkers to develop the habit of turning lights off?
Lisa Ravinal 4/16/2025 11:18 AMLead by example and acknowledge coworkers when they turn off the lights. Lights off at work is no different than lights off at home! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONOne HealthcareWhat are the benefits of connecting with new colleagues? How have you fostered meaningful connections with others?
Lisa Ravinal 4/14/2025 5:21 PMI attended AORN in Boston this year. I connected with other nurses who matched with my interest in sustainability. I met a nurse from NH who was very interested in our BCH sustainability efforts and looking to connect with her in the near future. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIn Our CommunitiesWhy is it important to consider how and to whom you donate your no-longer-needed items?
Lisa Ravinal 4/14/2025 5:18 PMDonation is important! We repurpose unused, clean items from the OR to the Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA! They love the supplies!
