For the 2nd grade science fair I built/displayed a composting bin, and I have been composting on-and-off since then. I've been picking this habit back up for Earth Month, and my 2-year old child thinks it's quite awesome to venture outside with our compost materials and spin the barrel! :) We will be using the compost in our future garden beds.

I'm a bit of a compost nerd. I have a super small yard in MKE, but can fit a spinning compost barrel out there. It's great, but it can't quite handle all of our food and yard waste, so we also use Compost Crusader, which picks up a large wheelie bin from our curb every other week. It's great that our regular garbage has gotten so small, that we don't even need a pickup every week. Plus, it's not stinky!
