    The biggest challenge of the ecochallenge has been checking in each day. Like many things, it's about making it a habit. That said, I have been more mindful and taken more action to change my way of doing things. The challenge has helped to reframe some of my habits and mindsets and I plan to continue making progress after the challenge ends.

    I joined the challenge to make myself accountable for the actions I want to take. It is easy to say, "I'm going to do this or that", but to actually put it into practice it takes action.

    Yes, it made me appreciate the efforts people put into growing food and supplying organic and healthy options to me. I think more about my food as something more than just satisfying hunger.

    I added steps by doing stretching and exercising in place of scrolling through social media.

    Instead of scrolling through Facebook I took the time to do some stretches. If I can get in the habit of doing that I know it will improve my physical and mental health!

    My favorite meatless dish is gnocchi with swiss chard, onion, mozzarella cheese, garlic and tomatoes cooked in a vegetable broth.

    Sometimes you have to find multiple uses for something that may, at first sight have only one use. It may help prevent purchasing something additional. For example, instead of buying drapes for my bedroom I used flat sheets that I already had in my linen closet. They worked beautifully.

    I close blinds that allow in the strongest sunlight during the day. It keeps the house cooler and I don't use my air conditioner.
