Laura's actions
In Our Communities
Donate Items
I will help others in need and prevent useful items from going to landfill by donating 25 items.
At Work
Use Reusables at Work
I will keep 10 forks, spoons, and/or knives from entering the landfill by using reusable utensils when eating at work.
One Healthcare
Use A Reusable Mug/Bottle
I will keep 10 disposable cup(s) and/or bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle, cup, or mug.
Health & Well-being
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 20 minute(s) each day.
At Home
Choose LED Bulbs
I will replace 4 incandescent lightbulb(s) with Energy Star-certified LED bulbs, saving up to $14 per fixture per year.
Health & Well-being
Healthy Hydration
I will improve hydration by drinking an additional 16oz of water each day. I will do this by drinking additional servings of water or by drinking water in place of other less healthy beverage options.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONAt Work Use Reusables at WorkWhile one's plastic cutlery is a seemingly very small part of someone's "plastic impact", why do you think it's important for us to address this opportunity to reduce?
-
Frances Drone-Silvers 4/01/2024 11:43 AMI see it as part of "good habits." So many of our wasteful habits have just become ingrained in our daily lives. If we can take just a moment to reduce the use of stuff that's going to get tossed, it all adds up.
