The environmental impact of the healthcare industry can paradoxically affect health by contributing to air and water pollution, climate change, and resource depletion. These environmental changes can lead to respiratory problems, infectious diseases, and other health issues.
As individuals, I can help reduce the healthcare industry’s environmental footprint by: Supporting Telemedicine: Utilizing telemedicine services when appropriate to reduce transportation emissions. By taking this step I contributed to a more sustainable healthcare system that protects both our health and the environment.
