Jennifer's actions
In Our Communities
Use Reusable Bags
I will refuse 1 of single-use paper or plastic bags each day by bringing my own reusable bags or carrying purchased goods another way.
Health & Well-being
Healthy Sleep
I will commit to getting 20 more minute(s) of sleep each night to achieve at least 7 hours per night.
Health & Well-being
Healthy Hydration
I will improve hydration by drinking an additional 8oz of water each day. I will do this by drinking additional servings of water or by drinking water in place of other less healthy beverage options.
One Healthcare
Donate Blood
I will donate blood in my community to make sure there are adequate supplies for routine medical services and emergencies.
One Healthcare
Medical Device Reprocessing
I will spend 30 minutes learning about the items my organization collects for medical device reprocessing and share this information with colleagues.
At Home
Choose LED Bulbs
I will replace 2 incandescent lightbulb(s) with Energy Star-certified LED bulbs, saving up to $14 per fixture per year.
At Work
Recycling Champion
I will recycle 2 items at work and/or at home each day, making sure I review recycling program guidelines and only place accepted items that are clean, empty, and dry in the recycling bin.
At Work
Prevent Recycling Contamination
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will spend 15 minutes learning about which items are recyclable both at my workplace and at home since they may be different, and recycle only those items.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Well-being Healthy HydrationHow do you plan to increase your water intake during the day?
Jennifer Wilcox 4/10/2024 5:41 AMMy plan to drink additional water throughout the day is to fill my reusable cup first thing when I get to work in the morning. That way water is always available to me. I've found that I get easily distracted doing other things and won't go get water throughout the day, but if it's sitting there already then I'll drink it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Well-being Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Jennifer Wilcox 4/03/2024 12:18 PMGetting more sleep is something that I always want to do, or at least something I say I want to do, but never prioritize. I have found that I need to shift my thinking to prioritize sleep (over one more load of laundry or one more episode of my favorite TV show) in order to actually get more sleep.
