Donate Items
I will help others in need and prevent useful items from going to landfill by donating 6 items.
Health & Well-being
Mindfulness / Meditation Practice
I will spend 5 minute(s) per day practicing Mindfulness and/or Meditation.
At Work
Recycling Champion
I will recycle 3 items at work and/or at home each day, making sure I review recycling program guidelines and only place accepted items that are clean, empty, and dry in the recycling bin.
In Our Communities
Use Reusable Bags
I will refuse 3 of single-use paper or plastic bags each day by bringing my own reusable bags or carrying purchased goods another way.
Health & Well-being
Gratitude
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for every day.
At Home
Practice the 5 r's
I will Practice the "5 Rs" — refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle — to reduce my waste more than I can with just recycling alone.
At Home
Brush My Teeth Without Water Running
I will save up to 4 gallons (15 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.

REFLECTION QUESTIONAt Home Practice the 5 r'sWhich of the 5 R's was easiest for you? Which was the most difficult? How did practicing the 5 R's help you reduce more waste than recycling alone?
Anastasia Wilczynski 4/04/2024 10:05 AMI repurposed several items. We're going through a home renovation, and we've been able to reuse some of the packing materials and use some sturdier ones around the house as plant stands and such. some of the strings and biodegradable ties were placed out in the yard for birds to help build their nests this spring!
