    How is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?

    I worked with MyRWA and the city of Sommerville to plant a few trees in a public park. I worked on planting a 10 ft. red oak sapling. I hope it does well. I got to meet and talk with other volunteers and some of Sommerville's tree wardens. I felt connected to my community.

    Just starting and really putting in the effort to mediate daily. It does get easier, but I did find the first time a little challenging with just shutting my brain down.

      I also am just starting to meditate, and I am finding it hard to shut my brain off and just breath, I am getting better at it the more I practice.

    What is one thing that you are grateful for today? How does practicing gratitude make you feel?

    I am thankful my mother wasn't injured in her car accident yesterday. very minor but it could have been worse. Showing gratitude allows me to show my appreciation for the smaller things in life. Also allows me to show someone how I feel about them while I still can.

    How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    My friends and I invite each other to weekly workout classes and my family, and I try to do a family walks at least 3 times a month.

      Arielle my favorite workout is the group runs. Helps with training and keeping me focus on actually getting some cardio done.

    I make an effort to recycle cans and cardboard while at work, however we only have one recycling container on the unit!

      That's awesome, Marcus. What about if you try to upcycle some of that cardboard to create another recycling container for your unit? ...two birds, one box...hmmm...that didn't shape up exactly like I thought it would...but maybe your upcycled recycling box will. lol
