BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Home Shorter Showers
Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

Farming and agriculture significantly impact all water systems. Instead of becoming overwhelmed by trying to save an ocean, start smaller. Consider what you choose to eat for one meal and commit to making choices that support local farms and sustainable agriculture.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Home Needs Vs. Wants
How is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?

Simplifying your environment requires you to see your needs, wants and traditional solutions differently which leads to more mindful and creative thinking. Instead of thinking about what you need to buy, you need to start with what you need to accomplish and then consider what items on hand could fill that need. Simplifying will help you build creativity if you aren't one when you start the process.

My husband and I have set up a schedule for the next 4 months to hike a different local nature trail every other weekend starting the 1st week of May. We are using the AllTrails app which allows you to specify type of activity, difficulty and distance from house as well as links and directions.
