In some parts of the state there is water scarcity. Overall, we do have water security for now. I purchase and cook with that water and continue to run the dishwasher when it's full.

I live in an area where water is never scarce. I use a brita filter at home so I do not accumulate too much plastic!

I have heard those work great! I love using my water service delivery because using disposable water bottles creates so much waste in our landfills!

Reducing use of plastic; composting office food waste; joining a local Bronx environmental group to meet with local state legislators to push for passage of key climate legislation; listened to webinar: "This is Your Brain on Plastic: What You Need to Know About Plastics & Health" and am sharing resources from the presentation - which was excellent - here:

Wow, Ann this is incredibly inspiring! 👏 Thanks so much for sharing these resources too, I just bookmarked the webinar and the microplastics doc for my weekend watchlist. 🧠♻️
I’ve been focused on reducing waste through donation and recycling, but your post has me thinking about how I can get more involved in advocacy.

So far it is slow going but I am taking steps to be more active, clean, and not wasteful!

I am grateful for time spent each morning prior to my work day in reading scripture and reflection. This starts each day in a beautiful way and mindset.

My personal health goals started about 1 year into my time here at Mayo. It began with the Joy Challenge and climbing the stairs to the top of the clinic buildings to collect gems. Then it turned into walking to work and during part of my lunch. I have lost 60lbs and now I challenge myself to start strength training for at least 20 minutes each day.
