Zoe Anastas (SWMC) 4/29/2024 7:23 AMGood for you--super excited for more outside porch time!
I mistakenly brought my spider plants out on a warm day and forgot to bring them inside and overnight it became too cold. Sadly, most of the little plants didn't make it. I will wait to bring them out when it stays warm the whole day and through the night.

REFLECTION QUESTIONIn Our Communities Support Pollution ReductionWhat environmental factors affect human health in your region, and how do they affect it?
Adam Moen 4/29/2024 6:22 AM"Toxic release of air" was HEAVILY present in my town. Though I am curious what counts as toxic release of air. I was looking around, and according to the map I was looking at, I've been exposed to this my whole life. Just about the whole city is covered. -
Adam Moen 4/24/2024 6:12 AMCan't wait for the weather to be warm enough for me to start putting my plants outdoors. I have a lot of seedlings that I really want to watch grow!!! I just have to make sure to keep the groundhogs away lol.-

Adam Moen 4/24/2024 6:09 AMIt is great meeting new people or just putting faces to names that I have seen on the challenges here. Feeling connected to others also helps motivate one to keep going and doing more to help out. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIn Our Communities Buy From a Farmers MarketDid procuring local ingredients impact the way you think about food or the meals you decided to prepare? If so, how?
Adam Moen 4/24/2024 6:08 AMIt is actually really fun trying to find ways to shop locally or just sustainably. It makes buying necessities feel like a good job rather than just the hassle of every day to day chores. It brings a good sense of purpose and pride knowing that I am helping in a multitude of different ways just buy shopping more locally. -

Adam Moen 4/22/2024 11:47 AMI just learned that I can recycle batteries here at work!!! (at the very least within LRI at the main campus). This is great news because I know my lab definitely has batteries that we hate to throw away. If anyone wants information that you can talk to Nanette (crochen@ccf.org). -
