Suzanne's actions
In Our Communities
Keep My Community Clean
I will pick up 1 piece(s) of litter each day.
In Our Communities
Support Diverse and Locally-Owned Businesses
I will promote equity and support my community by purchasing items at 2 diverse- and/or locally-owned businesses.
At Home
Needs Vs. Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
At Home
Brush My Teeth Without Water Running
I will save up to 4 gallons (15 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.
At Home
Adjust the Thermostat
I will adjust my thermostat down 2 degrees from usual when I use the heat, and up 2 degrees when I use air conditioning.
At Work
Last to Leave? Lights Out, Please!
Lighting makes up approximately 10% of hospitals' energy use on average. I will save energy by turning off unnecessary lights when not in use and when I am the last one to leave a space.
One Healthcare
Use A Reusable Mug/Bottle
I will keep 10 disposable cup(s) and/or bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle, cup, or mug.
One Healthcare
Judicious use of disinfectants
I will only use disinfectants where recommended and required by my organization's Infection Prevention and Control department.

Suzanne Penna 4/16/2024 2:19 PMStill looking for a diverse or locally-owned business that I haven't bought from yet. Living in Pine Beach, it isn't as easy as living in the city. -
Suzanne Penna 4/15/2024 6:35 AMOne of the most important things I think I did today was continuing to use my own coffee mugs and other drink containers. I have also been making sure I turn off lights and use less water.
