Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Health & Well-being
More Fruits and Veggies
I will eat a heart healthy diet by adding 2 cup(s) of fruits and vegetables each day to achieve at least 4 cups per day.
In Our Communities
Donate Items
I will help others in need and prevent useful items from going to landfill by donating 10 items.

Use Reusable Bags
I will refuse 2 of single-use paper or plastic bags each day by bringing my own reusable bags or carrying purchased goods another way.
In Our Communities

Volunteer in My Community

At Home
Practice the 5 r's
I will Practice the "5 Rs" — refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle — to reduce my waste more than I can with just recycling alone.
At Home
Needs Vs. Wants
I will adopt a "Needs Vs. Wants" approach and only buy things I need.
At Work
Greener Purchasing
I will select a greener option when purchasing supplies, such as products that have environmental certifications, less packaging, or other environmental attributes, or come from local vendors.
One Healthcare
Use A Reusable Mug/Bottle
I will keep 2 disposable cup(s) and/or bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle, cup, or mug.
One Healthcare
Sustainable Healthcare
I will attend or watch a recording of a webinar 45 minutes long covering one or more healthcare sustainability issues.

REFLECTION QUESTIONIn Our Communities Plant TreesHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Christina White 4/24/2024 4:40 AMPlanting trees is good for my mental, physical, and spiritual health because of the effort needed to plant the tree, and the good feeling I get knowing I am doing something beneficial for the planet that may also be passed on to further generations. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIn Our Communities Volunteer in My CommunityHow did volunteering in your community make you feel? What is one thing you can do to help your community become more sustainable?
Christina White 4/22/2024 4:54 AMVolunteering in my community always makes me just feel good. Being productive for all feels better than just being productive for me. One thing I can do to help my community become more sustainable is share my extra vegetables from my garden, so people in my neighborhood do not have to buy packages veggies at the store. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIn Our Communities Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items, but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? What tips do you have for others who are trying to form a habit of using reusable bags?
Christina White 4/19/2024 5:09 AMReusing a box also works for carrying multiple items if you cannot use the one you brought or don't have one. My tip for getting in the habit of using reusable bags is keep them everywhere! But mainly, keep several in your car and in your kitchen. That way they can rotate back out with you. If you can, get one that folds up tiny and carry it in your purse or bag too. That way you should always have one handy if you need it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONOne Healthcare Use A Reusable Mug/BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Christina White 4/08/2024 4:50 AMSome of the barrier to using reusable bottles is the availability of cleaning locations, remembering to bring the container, and whether an organization will accept using a personal water bottle over their cups. For example, Starbucks has a reusable cup, but sometimes getting a coffee from them is spontaneous and people do not just carry their reusable cup with them. It would be easier to check-in and out a reusable cup every time a person ordered.-
Margaret Marsalka 4/08/2024 10:27 AMI love this- or return your cup for a certain amount or deposit off your next order to incentivize people to bring them back.
