Cafeteria! Why so much plastic and no composting?
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
One Healthcare Use A Reusable Mug/Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

    There are no barriers.
    Always bringing back ups.

Hydro flask has an app called “Tap” that shows refillable water bottle stations. I love this because in some areas, it’s hard to find somewhere to fill up my Hydroflask!

I have 3 kids and one of my barriers is helping to remind them to grab their water bottles. They also have a tendency to forget to clean their water bottles, leaving them behind. Our other barrier is that my kids don't always put the lids away in their designated spot and I can find my containers without the lids.

A previous barrier I had was the lids would become moldy. I have solved this by mandating that only water is used in the containers, using mostly stainless steel to combat bacterial growth, and by finding water bottles with less little parts and crevices that can be hiding spots for bacteria and fungus.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
One Healthcare Random Act of Kindness

Happy! I was not looking for a response, just the right thing to do!

reduce: I have a plan listed of things that are actually needs at home. Check it daily to make sure I am on this task.
recycle: cannot find a center where I live, I drive it to Chesterland

I am very passionate about the environment. Returning to Ohio after 33 years in Vermont, the Green Mountain State, literally becomes part of your DNA.
