REFLECTION QUESTIONOne Healthcare Environmental Footprint of HealthcareWhat surprised you most about the healthcare industry's impact on climate and health? What is one action you can take to make a positive impact?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONOne Healthcare Use A Reusable Mug/BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
-
Sara Menvielle 4/03/2024 11:49 AMHydro flask has an app called “Tap” that shows refillable water bottle stations. I love this because in some areas, it’s hard to find somewhere to fill up my Hydroflask! -
Tiya Sacred Heart Hospice 4/03/2024 11:01 AMI have 3 kids and one of my barriers is helping to remind them to grab their water bottles. They also have a tendency to forget to clean their water bottles, leaving them behind. Our other barrier is that my kids don't always put the lids away in their designated spot and I can find my containers without the lids.
A previous barrier I had was the lids would become moldy. I have solved this by mandating that only water is used in the containers, using mostly stainless steel to combat bacterial growth, and by finding water bottles with less little parts and crevices that can be hiding spots for bacteria and fungus.
