When did you learn about recycling? Why is recycling important to you?

I believe I learned about the importance of recycling in middle school but I did not feel passionate about it until my high school years. This is important to me because this is an easy way for people to help keep the landfills from piling up. I don’t think we realize just how much junk we acquire/produce as humans. We need to do our part even if it does seem small.

This challenge has inspired me to bring my own silverware to work as well as a coffee mug found at Goodwill to keep at work so that I do not have to use disposable cups for coffee anymore.

That is fantastic! I am frustrated at the amount of plastic utensils and styrofoam cups used in my breakroom.
