I have been inspired to try and do more to reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as possible.

Everything went well with my colonoscopy, and I do not have to go back for five years.

I'm not good at taking a five minute shower but some of my son's are taking on the challenge for me!

Son just yesterday asked, "do you still get points for 5-min shower?" He's said, "I did it again." He doesn't have long hair. Though I mentioned that he can rinse, turn off water, soap/shampoo up, then turn water back on for final rinse. Good luck!

Have they been successful? My daughter says she can if she does not wash her hair :)

Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?

I started using Agave. The taste is minimal and not as refined.

Cool to see ~120 gallons of water saved in a week by consciously taking shorter showers! Tip: using cold water helps you speed it up ;)
Make sure to check in every few days for those team points!

One of the prompts I picked this year is "Needs vs Wants" in an effort to slow down and more mindfully think if I really need something or am acting out of impulse, convenience, or bad habit (agh!). Reduce, reuse, recycle - lines up with the idea of 'upstream thinking' Kaitlin Walker has been sharing with the EOC division. I don't have to figure out where to put something or how to throw it out if I don't buy it in the first place. (And, my bank account thanks me too!).

I joined the challenge to be responsible and accountable to my actions for the environment around me.

    Gentle reminders.
    Please turn lights off.
